Vietnam veteran Chuck Searcy, with D.O.V.E. Fund Director of Vietnam Projects, Fred Grimm, at the D.O.V.E, Fund Annual Dinner Auction in Maumee, OH on August 19th, 2017. Searcy was honored by the D.O.V.E. Fund for his work on UXO remediation with Project RENEW, his leadership with Veterans For Peace and for his role with the Agent Orange Working Group in Vietnam. Searcy, who has lived in Vietnam for 22 years, has worked to restore relations with the people of Vietnam through a range of humanitarian projects.
“Thanks for all you do, Chuck,” said Fred Grimm in presenting the award.
“This was a real honor for me,” Searcy said, “coming from a group of dedicated Vietnam vets and their families and friends who have done much for the people of Viet Nam over the years. Trustees and members of the D.O.V.E. Fund continue to heal the wounds of the war, with commitment and passion,” Searcy added, in thanking the group for the recognition.
